Terms of Service

The rules for using the portal and the department’s Discord applications.

  1. What this service is

    The MRPD portal is an internal tool for a police department inside OutLawRP, a Grand Theft Auto V roleplay community: the roster, duty hours, requests, internal affairs, points and promotions. All of it is part of a roleplay game — ranks, badges and penalties have no effect of any kind outside the game, and the department is not a real law-enforcement body.

  2. Who may use it

    Browsing the roster pages is open to anyone. Filing a request or reviewing one requires signing in with a Discord account and holding membership in the department’s server, and the role you hold there is what decides what you may do. We create no accounts — your account is your Discord account, and Discord’s own terms apply to it.

  3. What is expected of you

    • Be truthful in what you write. A request built on false information is refused, and repeating it is grounds for withdrawing access.
    • Do not attempt to reach another officer’s file, or the admin panel, with permissions you do not hold.
    • Do not scrape the site’s pages automatically. The site detects this and blocks the address temporarily.
    • Do not upload a file you have no right to upload, or one containing another person’s data without their permission.
    • Follow the OutLawRP community rules and Discord’s terms of service.

  4. Records and decisions

    Acceptance, rejection, penalty and promotion decisions are made by command staff and internal affairs, and are the department’s in-game decisions. Nothing is deleted from the points ledger: a mistake is corrected by a written reversing entry with a stated reason. If you see an error in your file, take it to command rather than filing the request again.

  5. Withdrawal of access

    The department may withdraw your access to the portal at any time — when your service ends, when the rules above are broken, or on any attempt to tamper with the system. Your file is then moved to the former-officers record and kept as described in the privacy policy.

  6. Your data

    What we collect about you and how we handle it is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

  7. The service as it is

    The site is run by volunteers in a roleplay community and is provided as is, without warranty. It may go down, your data may update late, and the department may lose data in spite of its backups. We accept no liability beyond that — there is no subscription, no fee and no paid service here.

  8. Changes to these terms

    These terms may change as the department or the site changes. The date at the top of the page says when they last did, and a material change is announced in the department’s channels.
