Privacy Policy

What we collect about you, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.

  1. Who we are, and what this policy covers

    Mission Row Police Department (MRPD) is a department inside OutLawRP, a Grand Theft Auto V roleplay community. It is an in-game department — not a real law-enforcement body, and not connected to any government agency.

    This policy covers the website at police.0utlawrp.com and the three Discord applications the department runs: OutLaw Police, Police Wings, and OL | Police Academy.

  2. What we collect

    From your Discord account, when you sign in:

    • Your user id, your username and display name, and your avatar.
    • Your membership in the department’s servers and the roles you hold there — which is what decides what you may file or review.

    What you send us yourself:

    • A recruitment application: your character’s name, your real age, your character’s story and motivation, your answers to the form’s questions, and a CV file if you attach one.
    • Officer requests: leave dates, reason and contact details; hours-exemption requests and their reasons; stream channels with their links and lengths; and wing applications with their answers.

    What the department records about you as an officer:

    • Badge number, in-game name, rank, department, units, certificates and wings.
    • Patrol and waiting hours, performance points, special points, and the points balance with every movement on it.
    • Penalties, strikes, internal-affairs cases and their outcomes, promotions, and dismissal if it happens.

    Technical data: Your IP address and browser user-agent, stored with each sign-in session and with every administrative action in the audit log. Neither is used to decide anything — they are there for accountability and for investigating abuse.

  3. Why we collect it

    To run the department: to decide recruitment and officer requests, to keep service records, ranks and points, to deliver decisions to the people they concern, and to keep the site from being abused. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build marketing profiles from it, and we do not sell it.

  4. What is publicly visible

    The officer roster pages are public: they show badge number, in-game name, rank, department, units, certificates and points. They do not show your real personal data — not your age, your CV, the contents of your requests, or your address. Acceptance, rejection and penalty decisions are posted in the department’s Discord channels, where the members of those channels can see them.

  5. Who sees it internally

    Command staff and internal affairs, each according to the permissions granted to them. Permissions are checked on the server on every request, and every change is written to an audit log that is never deleted — who did it, when, and what changed.

  6. Third parties

    We do not share your data with any outside party. The only destination beyond our own server is Discord itself — when your request is posted to a review channel or a decision is sent to you as a direct message — and that is subject to Discord’s own privacy policy.

  7. Cookies

    We use two strictly necessary cookies and nothing else: mrpd_session, which carries your session id and keeps you signed in, and mrpd_oauth_state, which protects the Discord sign-in step and expires within minutes. We use no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

  8. How long we keep it

    Service records and the audit log are kept for as long as the department exists — nothing is deleted from the points ledger; a mistake there is corrected by a written reversing entry, never by erasure. Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Daily backups are taken on the same server, and full snapshots are pruned after 14 days.

  9. Your rights

    You can ask for a copy of your data, for anything wrong in it to be corrected, or for what can be deleted to be deleted — write to [email protected], or the OutLawRP Discord server. Some records cannot be deleted: the audit log and the points ledger are what make the department’s decisions reviewable, and erasing them would erase the trail of decisions that concern other people too. When you leave the department your file is moved to the former-officers record.

  10. Security

    The site runs over HTTPS. Every administrative route goes through a permission check on the server, not through a hidden button. Uploaded files — CVs and attachments — are served only through guarded routes. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise you absolute safety.

  11. Age

    The service runs on Discord, and Discord sets a minimum age in its own terms, which is higher in some countries. We do not create accounts ourselves, and we do not accept anyone without an eligible Discord account.

  12. Changes to this policy

    If what we collect or why we collect it changes, we update this page and change the date at the top of it. A material change is announced in the department’s channels.
